The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
The Charles Moore Dance Theatre
The Charles Moore Dance Theatre is one of the oldest African American arts organizations in Brooklyn. Founded in 1974 by Charles Moore and his wife Ella Thompson Moore, the Charles Moore Dance Theatre is nationally known for its preservation and presentation of folkloric dances from all over the African Diaspora.
Through the generosity of Pastor Craig B. Gaddy Sr., the Charles Moore Dance Theatre is currently housed at the Friendship Baptist Church in Brooklyn. There, the Charles Moore Dance Theatre continues to focus on its mission to provide affordable high quality dance training to the families of Brooklyn. The instructors of the Charles Moore Dance Theatre are members of the Professional Company with sterling reputation as dancers and educators. Our school serves as a feeder for its youth company The Charles Moore Dance Theatre Youth Ensemble. Under the direction of Carol Lonnie, the CMDT Youth Ensemble performs at festivals and events citywide. We also offer classes in Zumba! and Afro Caribbean Dance for adults.

We're blessed with four African missions; in Sierra Leone we're in Kailahun, in Ghana we're in Kintampo, Kumasi, and Chokor taking our church to the north, central and southern perimeter of Ghana with a primary, secondary & developmental program partnering with BASICS Inc., as the largest youth development center in Ghana.
